HOSSEFIELD PIRAMID + STONYHURST DISK

The use of the pyramid of Hossefield is the safest technique for viewing the sun in white light.
This technique, called projection of the solar, allows to see the sun projected on a surface through the interposition of an eyepiece between the objective of the telescope and this surface.
In this way it can be noticed the presence of sunspots in simple and immediate.
The observer programs that can be obtained with the pyramid of hossefield, concerning sunspots, are many:
1) Counting and numbering,
2) The orientation Heliographic,
3) The spots trajectory on the surface of the sun,
4) The type and the change,
5) The structure.

The display of spots can be implemented by collecting daily data that will be transferred on the disks of Stonyhurst (8 pcs)
